Sheriff's Open House held on September 23, 2006

On Saturday, September 23, 2006 the Sheriff’s Office hosted its Third Annual Monterey County Sheriff’s Office Open House.

The public was able to see demonstrations and displays by: The Bomb Unit: Truck & robot "Boomer", The K-9 Unit, SWAT and CERT, Mounted Unit, Motor Squad, Search & Rescue Team, and the Recruitment Unit. Attendees were also given the opportunity to view an actual uniform inspection of Sheriff’s Office Deputies.

Sheriff’s Office staff, volunteers, and open house attendees also took a moment to commend the promotion of Sgt. Robert Rodriguez, Sgt. Jim Bass and Commander Johnny Mihu. It was also a day to congratulate a retiring Motor Squad volunteer, Chuck Bray.

The open house was not only a day for the public; it was a day for our Deputies, professional staff, and volunteers. It was a day for all to show our pride in the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.
